CAPA members in Bangladesh are, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh and the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh.
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh
Founded on 1 January 1972. Established as an autonomous accounting body under the Bangladesh Chartered Accountants Order 1973 ( President's Order No. 2 of 1973) for the purpose of regulating the profession of chartered accountants and for matters connected therewith in the country.
The Ministry of Commerce administrates the ICAB. The affairs of the ICAB are managed by a Council composed of 20 members who are elected every 3 years. The Council is headed by the President (elected annually by the Council and acts as the Chief Executive).

The Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh
The Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh an autonomous professional body under the Ministry of Commerce of the Government of the peoples Republic of Bangladesh, is the only Institute in the country dedicated to Cost and Management Accounting education and research.
It is managed by a Council constituted under the provision of the Cost and Management Accountants Ordinance. The Council consists of 12 Fellow Members of the Institute elected by the members of the Institute and 4 nominees of the Government representing Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Industries and Dhaka University. The Council in its three years term, elects one President, two Vice-Presidents, one Secretary and one Treasurer on yearly basis to manage the affairs of the Institute. Council has five Standing Committees and required number of other Committees.
