CAPA have 2 ordinary members in India, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India.
The ICAI functions through a network of 5 Regional offices and 105 Branches. The Institute also has 15 Chapters outside India and an office in Dubai. The Examinations of the Institute are held every six months at about 173 centres spread over 95 cities across the country besides Kathmandu and Dubai.
The Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India
Formed as a limited company in 1944 under the provisions of the then Companies Act 1913. Later it was incorporated under the Cost and Work Accountants Act, 1959 and was accorded statutory recognition.
