CAPA has 2 affiliates in United Kingdom, the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants).
Founded in 1880, ICAEW is a world-leading professional accountancy body representing 136,000 members in over 160 countries. The ICAEW has 16,000 students and offer the ACA qualification in the UK, Bangladesh, Bulgaria, China, Cyprus, Greece, The Gulf, Malaysia, Mauritius, Pakistan, Romania, Russia, and Singapore.
ICAEW provides leadership, representation, and support to our members and ensures high standards are manitained across the profession, thus building trust and confidence in economic activity at all levels.
ICAEW regulates more than 4,000 public practice firms in the UK, ranging from the Big 4 to sole practitioners. ICAEW provides monitoring and regulatory services to bodies such as the UK National Audit Office (the public sector regulator) and the Dubai Financial Services Authority. It also provides training and consultancy services to accountancy, oversight and government bodies in Europe, Asia, and Africa as they build their capacity and expertise.

ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) is the largest global professional accountancy body, with 300,000 members and students in 160 countries. ACCA's headquarters are in London and it has staffed offices in 25 countries.
Founded in 1904 in London, ACCA's mission is to provide quality professional opportunities to people of ability and application, to be a leader in the development of the global accountancy profession, to promote the highest ethical and governance standards and to work in the public interest.
ACCA is governed by a Council all of whom are themselves ACCA members from around the world and who are elected by the whole membership. There are no constituencies; Council members thus represent all ACCA members. An International Assembly , elected on the basis of national and regional constituencies, advises Council and acts as a channel of communication between council and ACCA's global membership.
